Indian Stock Markets on Thursday opened on a muted note with the Nifty opening at the 22,700 level, while the BSE Sensex traded largely flat. Investors remained cautious amid global uncertainties, with market participants tracking geopolitical developments in the Middle East, crude oil price movements and cues from international markets.
As open, Sensex was at 73,249.07, up by 3.04 points and Nifty was at 22,703.70, gaining 3.60 points or 0.02%.
Crude oil prices remain a key factor for domestic markets, given India’s dependence on imports, while developments surrounding US-Iran diplomatic efforts could influence investor sentiment.
