Tata Power Q4 Results: Tata Power posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 996 crore for the fourth quarter of FY26, marking a 4 per cent decline compared to Rs 1,043 crore reported in the same quarter last year. Despite the dip in quarterly earnings, the company delivered robust operational growth across its core and renewable energy businesses during the financial year.
The company’s board also recommended a final dividend of Rs 2.5 per share for the financial year ended March 2026.
Revenue from operations during the March quarter came in at Rs 14,900 crore, down 13 per cent year-on-year from Rs 17,096 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. However, EBITDA rose 10 per cent to Rs 4,216 crore, indicating improved operational performance despite softer revenue.
Tata Power said higher operational efficiency and strong momentum across its key business segments helped support profitability during the quarter. The company’s core business registered a 13 per cent year-on-year rise in profit after tax in Q4, led by steady growth in generation, transmission and distribution, along with renewable energy operations.
For the entire FY26 financial year, the company reported its highest-ever annual profit after tax at Rs 5,118 crore, reflecting a 7 per cent increase over the previous year. EBITDA for the year climbed 11 per cent to Rs 16,090 crore, while annual revenue stood at Rs 63,681 crore.
Renewable Energy Segment Emerges As Key Growth Engine
The renewable energy vertical continued to remain one of the company’s strongest growth drivers during FY26. Profit after tax from the renewables business, before exceptional items, surged 59 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,994 crore. In the fourth quarter alone, the segment reported PAT of Rs 406 crore.
Tata Power’s solar manufacturing business also saw significant expansion during the year. FY26 PAT from the segment more than doubled to Rs 857 crore, supported by increased module and cell manufacturing capacity and production yields crossing 95 per cent.
The rooftop solar business recorded a sharp 150 per cent rise in annual PAT to Rs 499 crore. Meanwhile, the transmission and distribution business posted a 49 per cent increase in FY26 PAT to Rs 2,978 crore. Odisha discoms also delivered strong performance, with annual PAT rising 84 per cent to Rs 809 crore.
