Gold Rate Today (March 3, 2026): Will Yellow Metal Surge Further Amid Geopolitical Stress? Check 24K, 22K, 18K, 14K Prices In Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad & Other Major Cities

Gold prices are bracing for heightened swings as geopolitical tensions between Iran and Israel keep global markets on alert. The precious metal, often seen as a safe-haven asset during uncertain times, is once again experiencing sharp movements across domestic and futures markets. On Tuesday, March 3, gold rates in the Indian market reflected this volatility. The price of 24-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,68,692 while 22-carat gold was available at Rs 1,54,631. Meanwhile, 18-carat gold stood at Rs 1,26,528.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures closed at Rs 1,66,199 — marking a jump of Rs 4,095.00 or 2.53 per cent during Monday’s trade session.
The recent surge follows a record-breaking milestone earlier this year. On January 29, gold futures soared to an all-time high of Rs 1,80,779 per 10 grams. This dramatic rise highlights the intense price fluctuations witnessed in the bullion segment over the past few weeks.
Market watchers note that geopolitical stress has significantly amplified investor demand for gold, reinforcing its reputation as a hedge against instability. The renewed volatility suggests that traders are closely monitoring global developments before making fresh commitments.
